The main purpose of laboratory is research and development in NPP (nuclear power plant) accident simulation and qualification type tests for existing NPP and new generation NPP.

Test equipment LOCA will be used to simulate environmental conditions (temperature / pressure / humidity / spraying solution) which arise in the case of project accidents and severe accidents with loss of coolant in nuclear power plants (NPPs) or to simulate similar thermodynamic conditions in other facilities.
